Rangers are a class that dosn't typicaly *need* a certain secondary, so both options are viable.
With /Mo, you'd gain some alternate forms of condition removal, healing, but most importantly, a reusable resurect skill. Rangers have a pretty good self-heal, so putting points into monk atributes is not really a good idea. There are some smiting skills that work very well with a ranger.
With /W you gain some nice tactics skills, like "Wach Yourself!" and "Shields Up!" that work nicely with a ranger, even if your tactics atribute is low. Given thier range, rangers can make better use of Frenzy in PvE than a warrior could (You've still got to be carefull!). The warrior secondary also opens up the option of melee, which is a workable build later on in the game.
